You will lead a team of warehousing professionals and work closely with stakeholders across operations, logistics, and distribution to improve efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels.

Our client is a leading FMCG organisation with well-recognised consumer brands and a strong market presence across Malaysia and the region. As part of their ongoing operational transformation journey, they are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to strengthen warehouse capabilities and support automation initiatives.

Job Description

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of warehouse resources, equipment, and manpower.
  • Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, warehouse housekeeping, and operational compliance.
  • Monitor warehouse performance through established KPIs and service level targets.



Warehouse Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive warehouse automation initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and optimise warehouse processes through technology and system enhancements.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of warehouse management systems and related technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs, improve workflow efficiency, and strengthen inventory visibility.



Systems & Technology

  • Ensure effective utilisation of WMS and ERP platforms across warehouse operations.
  • Leverage barcode, RFID, and scanning technologies to improve inventory tracking and operational accuracy.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders on system upgrades, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate operational data and reporting to support decision-making.



Distribution & Logistics Coordination

  • Collaborate with transportation and distribution teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and delivery performance.
  • Monitor outbound logistics activities to support customer service and business requirements.
  • Ensure effective warehouse-to-distribution coordination during peak periods and operational demands.



Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a warehouse team of approximately 30 employees, supported by an Assistant Manager.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage workforce planning, performance expectations, and capability development within the warehouse function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Warehouse Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing warehouse operations within a manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or distribution environment.
  • Strong exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse automation, robotics, material handling equipment, or storage systems.
  • Knowledge of barcode, RFID, scanning technologies, and inventory management best practices.
  • Good understanding of transportation, distribution, and end-to-end warehousing operations.
  • Demonstrated people management experience with the ability to lead and develop operational teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
