Job Description

  • Serve as the lead legal adviser across multiple markets, providing strategic, commercially focused counsel to support business growth and transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leaders to enable innovation, product development and customer initiatives while balancing legal, regulatory and commercial objectives.
  • Lead the negotiation, drafting and management of complex commercial agreements, including customer, retailer, distribution, procurement and supplier contracts etc.
  • Advise on and negotiate marketing, promotional, confidentiality, consulting and professional services agreements.
  • Provide expert guidance on consumer law, food standards, product labelling, advertising and marketing compliance requirements.
  • Counsel the business on competition and antitrust laws, anti-bribery and corruption matters, trade sanctions and export control regulations.
  • Manage disputes, claims, investigations and external legal counsel to achieve effective and commercially sound outcomes.
  • Identify emerging legal and regulatory risks, support product and customer-related issues, and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:

  • At least 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in commercial legal practice.
  • Strong expertise in commercial contracting, legal advisory and providing pragmatic, business-focused solutions.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and partner effectively with business leaders.
  • Demonstrated capability to operate independently and manage a broad range of complex legal, regulatory and commercial matters.
  • In-house legal experience within multinational environments and/or strong exposure to FMCG, consumer products, manufacturing, healthcare or retail sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen, business partnering skills and leadership potential, with readiness to excel in a senior in-house legal role.
