The company is well-established, with a global presence and a strong reputation for delivering excellence in its field.Job DescriptionServe as a strategic legal partner to the business by identifying potential legal and commercial exposures, evaluating associated risks, and recommending practical risk mitigation strategies.Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of a broad range of contracts, including exploration and production agreements, operational and procurement contracts, service arrangements, commercial transactions, production sharing contract documentation, and joint venture agreements.Provide legal support throughout procurement and sourcing activities, including advising on tender exercises, reviewing bid documentation, and assessing contractual frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.Act as a key legal liaison with regulatory authorities, joint venture participants, and other external stakeholders on matters relating to compliance, governance, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.Deliver timely legal counsel and compliance guidance across business functions to support informed decision-making and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.Assist in the management of disputes, contractual claims, investigations, and potential litigation or arbitration proceedings, working closely with business teams and external advisers to protect the company's interests.Oversee the engagement of external legal counsel, including defining scopes of work, monitoring service quality, managing legal spend, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of legal services.The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.
