Our client is a global leader in waste-to-energy (WTE) and environmental services. It is currently the world's largest provider of waste incineration equipment and one of the top three operators of WTE plants globally.

Job Description

  • Conduct in‑depth research on international market trends, industry policies, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Identify and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Support senior leadership in project due diligence, screening, acquisition, and feasibility assessment.
  • Lead local project development efforts and source suitable business partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies in the host country.
  • Represent the company's values, culture, and strategic vision to public and private stakeholders.
  • Assist in securing framework agreements, concessions, PPAs, and other strategic contracts.
  • Oversee and track the full execution cycle of assigned investment projects - planning, evaluation, negotiation, and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and operational requirements.
  • Support internal and external coordination to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports, market updates, and project documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Investment/Business Development Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Management, Economics, Engineering, International Business, Languages, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in investment, project development, government relations, or international business.
  • Experience in government procurement or BOT (Build‑Operate‑Transfer) projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial law and environmental/industry regulations.
  • Capable in data analysis, market research, and preparing business proposals.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
  • High adaptability, cultural awareness, and ability to work in dynamic environments.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin is an added advantage.
