We are seeking a Head of Sales based in Klang Valley for a global player in specialty chemical to lead its Malaysia business. This is a senior leadership role combining commercial ownership, people management, and principal engagement within a mature and respected platform.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives.
  • Lead and manage the sales team to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports to directors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the budget allocation and ensure efficient use of resources within the sales department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Sales should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in sales or technical sales within chemicals, polymers, or materials environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing sales teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategy and hands‑on execution
  • Technical background is advantageous but not essential for candidates with strong commercial credentials
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Motivated by long‑term leadership opportunities, stability, and business ownership rather than short‑term sales roles
