Job Description

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive the success of the new business division.
  • Lead commercial operations, overseeing pricing, product portfolio, and supply chain optimisation.
  • Establish new business partnerships and expand market coverage across Malaysia and the region.
  • Build, train, and lead a capable sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
  • Monitor sales performance, margins, and profitability while ensuring compliance and governance.
  • Build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Lead market intelligence activities to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive movements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful General Manager, Sales & Marketing should have:

  • A recognised university degree (Master's preferred).
  • At least 10 years of senior commercial experience within the chemical sector.
  • Strong track record in building and leading sales and marketing teams.
  • Proven commercial acumen with exposure to chemical distribution across APAC region.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on leadership and strong decision-making ability.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage for regional collaboration.
  • Energetic, commercially sharp, and confident in developing and executing new business models.
