Job Description

  • Be able to perform end-to-end Equities, Mutual funds, and Options Transactions/Corporate actions etc.
  • Check and verify that all securities/trade transactions are completed, settlements instructions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review all trade matching reports and ensure all failed trades are promptly resolved.
  • Ensure funding sufficiency for trade settlements.
  • Reconciliation trade/shares, corporate actions for Equities, Mutual funds, and Options.
  • Adhering to control procedures, identifying gaps, and ensuring controls are implemented to close those gaps.
  • Setup of Options/Mutual funds process flow with a counterparty and streamline the process.
  • Interpret data and make recommendations for the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms.
  • Adhering to control procedures, manage escalate and resolve all requests/inquiries/issues/errors and identify policy gaps and formulate policies to streamline processes.
  • Participating in project initiatives and taking up ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Support change by assisting in devising and implementing improved processes and global entity operations function.
  • This job will experience a rotation of roles within the Operations team.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Operations Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience with more than 6 years of relevant experience in Corporate Actions & Equities or Derivatives in either retail or institutional.
  • Trade support/settlement in either stockbroking firms, custodian/banks or clearinghouse.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in Equities/Options/ Mutual funds etc.
  • Understands the entire trade flow from front to back and the reconciliation process.
  • Knowledge of payment and receipt skillsets.
