The Technical Sales Manager and focuses on driving the advanced automation and material handling solutions used in high‑precision manufacturing environments. You will be based in Northern region of Malaysia and work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions across regional and international markets.

Job Description

  • Manage and grow technical sales activities for automation and material handling solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with large, multinational manufacturing customers
  • Lead end‑to‑end sales cycles, from opportunity identification to commercial closure
  • Understand customer technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering and project teams
  • Handle high‑value projects with complex technical and commercial considerations
  • Support regional market development and new customer acquisition
  • Operate as an individual contributor with future scope to take on leadership responsibility

The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Sales Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering background (Mechanical preferred)
  • Experience in technical sales within automation, industrial equipment, or engineered solutions environments
  • Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Track record of managing large customers and sizeable project values
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a sales management or senior sales role
  • Commercially driven, structured, and consultative in approach
  • Stable career history and long‑term mindset
  • Strong communication skills; additional languages like Mandarin are an advantage
