This role will be responsible for managing technology projects from requirement gathering and vendor evaluation through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage end-to-end digital transformation and system implementation projects across manufacturing operations.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and implementation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into effective system and process solutions.
  • Collaborate with business users and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Evaluate, engage, and manage external vendors, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
  • Act as the key liaison between business users, operations teams, vendors, and internal IT stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), integration activities, and go-live readiness.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support post-implementation stabilization and continuous enhancements.
  • Deliver user training, system documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure successful adoption of new solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and business performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proficiency in Mandarin.
  • Malaysian Chinese candidates are preferred due to the nature of stakeholder engagement and business communication requirements.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently across West Malaysia and East Malaysia
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in IT project management, business analysis, or digital transformation projects.
  • Experience working with external vendors, system integrators, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and software implementation lifecycles.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, supply chain, ERP, MES, or operational technology environments will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
