Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions supporting energy management and system optimisation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, integrate, and enhance system functionalities across software and hardware environments.
  • Analyse system behaviour and troubleshoot software-related issues to ensure stable and efficient operations.
  • Assist in integrating software applications with external systems, devices, and industrial communication interfaces.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with best practices.
  • Monitor system performance and contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation efforts.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends related to energy systems, automation, and data-driven solutions.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Software Engineer (EMS) should have:

  • A relevant degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience in software development for energy, control, or industrial systems, with exposure to EMS‑related applications.
  • Working knowledge of common programming languages used in system and application development, such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Familiarity with energy systems, data-driven applications, or industrial integration within operational environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
  • Experience or exposure to AI based software development is considered a strong plus.
