Job Description

  • Lead Shariah compliance reviews to identify alignment with applicable internal Shariah requirements.
  • Provide practical Shariah compliance guidance to relevant stakeholders across insurance operations.
  • Review policies, procedures and business activities to support consistent Shariah compliance practices.
  • Prepare clear reports on Shariah compliance findings, observations and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor agreed actions and maintain records that support timely resolution of compliance matters.
  • Work with relevant teams to clarify Shariah compliance requirements for new and existing activities.
  • Maintain Shariah compliance documentation to support effective governance and reporting.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Shariah Compliance, Manager' should have:

  • 8-10 years of experience in the insurance or Takaful industry, with a focus on Shariah compliance
  • Ability to assess compliance matters and provide clear, practical recommendations.
  • Experience preparing structured compliance reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to clarify Shariah compliance requirements.
  • Sound judgement when identifying and following up on Shariah compliance matters.
