This position focuses on Export Control, Sanctions Screening, Business Partner Due Diligence, and Compliance Risk Management activities across APAC markets.Beyond day-to-day screening activities, you will serve as a senior team member responsible for supporting junior colleagues, driving process improvements, enhancing documentation standards, and contributing to audit readiness and compliance governance initiatives.

Job Description

  • Perform sanctions screening and business partner reviews using SAP GTS, MIC, and compliance screening platforms
  • Investigate sanctions screening alerts and determine whether cases should be released, escalated, or remain restricted
  • Conduct KYBP (Know Your Business Partner) reviews and compliance due diligence assessments
  • Review compliance risks associated with business partners and transactions
  • Support export control-related operational queries and compliance activities
  • Maintain compliance records, screening documentation, and audit support materials
  • Prepare reports, compliance updates, and stakeholder communications
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to junior team members
  • Drive process improvements, SOP enhancements, and training material development
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend sustainable solutions to improve efficiency and compliance effectiveness

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Regional Trade Compliance & Sanctions Specialist/Analyst (APAC) should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, International Trade, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Compliance, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Export Control, Trade Compliance, Sanctions Screening, Due Diligence, KYC, AML, Risk & Compliance, Financial Crime, Audit, or related functions
  • Experience conducting business partner screening, sanctions reviews, or compliance due diligence activities
  • Understanding of compliance risks, sanctions regulations, and screening methodologies
  • Familiarity with OFAC, EU, UN, or other sanctions frameworks would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and risk assessment capabilities
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance governance, or process improvement initiatives
  • Exposure to SAP GTS, MIC, or similar compliance screening tools is preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to support China and regional stakeholders
