A fast-growing fintech organization operating within the digital payments and cross-border payments ecosystem across Asia. As part of its continued business expansion, the organization is seeking an experienced payments professional to support merchant onboarding, merchant acquiring operations, payment acceptance activities, and partner implementations.

Job Description

  • Lead merchant onboarding and implementation activities across payment platforms and solutions
  • Coordinate with merchants, wallet partners, acquirers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and go-live activities
  • Support merchant acquiring operations, payment acceptance activities, and merchant lifecycle management
  • Manage merchant setup, account maintenance, operational configurations, and onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate payment terminal deployment, operational support, and troubleshooting activities
  • Investigate transaction, settlement, and payment-related operational issues
  • Work closely with Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and Commercial teams to resolve merchant and partner issues
  • Participate in solutioning discussions, product demonstrations, and merchant implementation meetings
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve merchant experience and operational efficiency
  • Support process improvement initiatives across merchant onboarding, payment operations, and partner management functions

The Successful Applicant

A successful Merchant Acquiring & Operations Specialist (Senior) should have:

  1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Commerce, Payments, or related disciplines
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience within Merchant Acquiring, Merchant Operations, Payment Operations, Digital Payments, Fintech Operations, Merchant Support, or related functions
  3. Experience supporting merchant onboarding, implementation, or payment acceptance operations
  4. Understanding of merchant acquiring flows, settlement processes, payment routing, or payment ecosystem operations
  5. Exposure to digital wallets, payment gateways, QR payments, POS terminals, or acquiring environments would be highly advantageous
  6. Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
  7. Ability to manage multiple implementation and onboarding activities concurrently
  8. Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin
