The Senior Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading all maintenance operations to maximise equipment reliability, plant performance, safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This role drives preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, manages engineering resources and budgets, and supports continuous improvement, capital projects, and manufacturing excellence initiatives.

Job Description

  • Lead and develop the maintenance team to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Drive preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Establish maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices across the plant.
  • Analyse equipment breakdowns and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to meet production requirements.
  • Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and resources to support maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and improve key maintenance KPIs including downtime, MTTR, MTBF, and equipment performance.
  • Support manufacturing excellence initiatives, TPM, and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Lead maintenance budgeting, cost control, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee fire protection systems maintenance, inspections, testing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support and deliver CAPEX projects, equipment upgrades, and engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to achieve operational targets.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team capabilities and technical competencies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10-12 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 8 years of people management and leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management, reliability engineering, and asset care.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and financial performance.
  • Solid understanding of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Proven track record in driving equipment reliability and maintenance improvements.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Project management experience, including CAPEX or plant improvement projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
