Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer - Design (Kulim)

Electrical Design & Architecture

• Lead electrical hardware architecture and system-level design decisions.
• Design and review:
  • Electrical schematics
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Panel layouts
  • I/O lists
  • Electrical assemblies
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and circuit protection reviews.
• Define electrical design standards and engineering best practices.

Controls & Equipment Integration

• Support integration and validation of PLC-based control systems.
• Troubleshoot control systems, instrumentation, communication networks, and electrical hardware issues.
• Support heater controls, temperature monitoring, and safety interlock systems.

Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting

• Develop verification and validation plans.
• Support FAT, SAT, startup, commissioning, and customer deployment activities.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Resolve manufacturing and customer escalation issues.

Supplier & Manufacturing Support

• Manage outsourced electrical design activities and panel builders.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Review technical deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support product lifecycle management and component obsolescence strategies.

Technical Leadership

• Lead electrical engineering workstreams.
• Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and risk assessments.
• Mentor engineers and manufacturing technicians.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across electrical engineering standards.
