A family office-backed AI company based in Australia that develops accounting technology solutions for the public practice sector. They already have an established customer base and focus on helping accounting firms manage client accounts and migrate data onto their platform.

Job Description

  • Manage full-set accounting and bookkeeping functions for Australian clients.
  • Prepare and review management reports and financial statements.
  • Handle Australian compliance requirements, including "Business Acitivity Statement" (BAS), GST reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Review accounting work completed by internal and outsourced team members.
  • Support client onboarding and accounting migration projects.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting, compliance, and reporting matters.
  • Maintain high-quality service delivery and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior accountants.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and standards.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in the business services industry is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
