Job Description

  • Design and implement search architecture for customer and partner-facing platforms
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise search technologies including Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, and cloud-based search services
  • Develop and enhance search relevancy models using techniques such as scoring, boosting, synonyms, and query optimization
  • Build search APIs, indexing pipelines, faceted search, auto-complete, type-ahead, and AI-enhanced search capabilities
  • Monitor search performance and user behavior, leveraging data-driven insights to continuously improve search quality and user experience

The Successful Applicant

A successful Search Engineer should have:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in search technology, information retrieval, or developing large-scale search applications
  • Proven expertise in Apache Solr and/or Elasticsearch, including search performance optimization, schema configuration, and query enhancement
  • Experience building and maintaining search indexing frameworks, relevance strategies, and data ingestion pipelines
  • Good understanding of core search and NLP principles, such as text processing, tokenization, stemming, and query interpretation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a focus on delivering high-quality user search experiences
  • Ability to work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders in a collaborative and agile environment
  • Exposure to modern search innovations such as cloud-native search services, semantic search, vector databases, AI-driven search, or machine learning-powered relevance tuning will be highly advantageous
