As the business continues to strengthen its market position and accelerate growth, it is seeking an experienced Retail & Commercial Director to drive commercial performance, enhance customer reach, and lead the next phase of business transformation.

Job Description

Lead the retail and commercial strategy of the business, driving revenue growth, profitability, customer engagement, and operational excellence across all sales channels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute the overall retail and commercial growth strategy.
  • Drive sales, profitability, and market share across all customer channels.
  • Lead retail performance improvement initiatives to maximize store productivity.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth channels.
  • Optimize pricing, promotions, and commercial activities to improve margins.
  • Monitor market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive developments.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Establish and monitor commercial KPIs to ensure performance targets are achieved.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing retail and commercial organization.
  • Act as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy and transformation initiatives.


The Successful Applicant

We are seeking a commercially driven leader with a successful track record in retail and consumer-facing businesses, capable of delivering growth and leading teams in a competitive environment. Key requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience within retail, consumer, lifestyle sectors.
  • Proven success in driving revenue growth and improving profitability.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and commercial management.
  • Experience managing multi-channel sales environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business growth strategies.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L performance.
  • Excellent leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
