Talent will play a critical role in ensuring materials are available to support manufacturing schedules while working closely with suppliers, planners, manufacturing teams, and internal stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and supply continuity.

About Our Client

A globally established electronics manufacturing organization supporting some of the world's leading technology, industrial, healthcare, communications, and aerospace brands. Due to business expansion and increasing production requirements, the company is growing its Procurement & Supply Chain team in Kulim.

Job Description

  • Execute purchasing and procurement activities based on production and MRP requirements
  • Manage supplier relationships, delivery commitments, and purchasing performance
  • Coordinate material availability to support manufacturing schedules and production demand
  • Review RFQs, quotations, sourcing opportunities, and purchasing requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels, shortages, allocations, and supply-related risks
  • Support new product introductions, production ramp-ups, and end-of-life material planning activities
  • Investigate supply chain issues and work closely with suppliers to drive resolutions
  • Track purchase price variances, cost updates, and supplier performance metrics
  • Participate in procurement process improvement, audit readiness, and compliance activities

The Successful Applicant

A successful Buyer/Procurement (Manufacturing) should have:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within Procurement, Purchasing, Buyer, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain functions
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required
  • Experience within Electronics Manufacturing, EMS, Semiconductor, Industrial Manufacturing, or similar industries would be highly advantageous
  • Strong supplier management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Exposure to MRP or ERP systems is preferred
  • SAP experience would be an added advantage
