The Regional GL Accountant is responsible for end-to-end general ledger accounting for multiple countries/entities within the region. This role ensures timely month-end close, accurate financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and compliance with IFRS and internal policies.

Job Description



  • Perform full spectrum GL accounting for assigned regional entities


  • Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in accordance with reporting timelines


  • Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany, FX revaluation)


  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve variances promptly


  • Ensure accurate intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and timely settlement


  • Support regional consolidation and reporting requirements


  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, and company accounting policies


  • Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and explanations


  • Coordinate with local finance teams, shared service centers, and regional stakeholders


  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, controls, and data quality

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Prior experience in the business services industry is an advantage.
