The Quality NPI Engineer is responsible for ensuring new products achieve customer quality expectations through effective quality planning, risk management, and yield improvement initiatives. This role leads NPI quality activities, manages PFMEA and Control Plans, oversees reliability programs, and drives cross-functional collaboration to achieve zero quality escapes.

Based on the requirements, the organisation operates within the Electronics, PCB, and Semiconductor manufacturing sector.

Job Description

  • Drive and maintain strong NPI product quality and yield performance.
  • Identify, escalate, and manage potential quality risks throughout the NPI lifecycle.
  • Establish, review, and optimise product parameter control limits within manufacturing systems.
  • Lead PFMEA and Process Control Plan development and customer submissions.
  • Support internal and external quality audits and act as the primary quality representative for NPI activities.
  • Plan and oversee product reliability testing and sample submissions to meet customer requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor Quality Engineers and Technicians while coordinating daily quality operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, NPI, Technology Development, and other functional teams to drive quality-focused decision making.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in NPI Quality, Process Engineering, Quality Control, Electronics, PCB, or Semiconductor industries.
  • Strong knowledge of: PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3 / VDA 6.5 Audits, JMP or Minitab Statistical Tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, coaching, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong quality mindset with the ability to influence and collaborate across multifunctional teams.
