We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major HR and Payroll transformation programme involving the implementation of a leading cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. This role will be responsible for driving project governance, stakeholder engagement, business readiness, change management, payroll continuity, and successful adoption across multiple business entities

Job Description

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the overall HR transformation and system implementation programme.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and enterprise governance standards.
  • Drive executive sponsorship and stakeholder commitment.
  • Provide strategic guidance to project teams and workstreams.
  • Act as the primary liaison between leadership, project governance bodies, and implementation teams.



Project Delivery

  • Manage project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure successful delivery of HR, Payroll, and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and project outcomes.
  • Escalate critical issues and facilitate timely decision-making.



Business Readiness & Change Management

  • Drive organisational readiness across HR and Payroll functions.
  • Oversee process alignment, testing activities, data migration, and deployment planning.
  • Lead stakeholder communication, training, and user adoption initiatives.
  • Ensure successful transition into business-as-usual operations.



Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with senior leaders, business stakeholders, project teams, and external partners.
  • Balance operational requirements with enterprise standardisation objectives.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and key decisions.



Team Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams, workstream leads, and project coordinators.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and effective execution.
  • Resolve cross-functional challenges impacting project outcomes.



Payroll & Operational Continuity

  • Ensure payroll operations remain stable throughout implementation.
  • Oversee payroll validation, reconciliation, testing, and deployment readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory payroll requirements.



Go-Live & Post-Implementation Support

  • Lead go-live readiness assessments and deployment activities.
  • Manage post-go-live stabilisation and issue resolution.
  • Monitor adoption, system performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.



The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5-8 years of project management experience.
  • Proven track record delivering HRIS, ERP, or digital transformation projects.
  • Experience managing enterprise-level stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, SAP HCM, or similar HR technology platforms is highly preferred.
  • Experience in data migration, systems integration, payroll transformation, and change management initiatives.
