Job Description

  • Lead the Product Engineering team responsible for aircraft component repair solutions
  • Oversee development and management of repair schemes across multiple engine platforms (e.g. CFM56, V2500, CF6-80, Trent series)
  • Act as the subject matter expert for inspection and repair processes (e.g. welding, machining, coatings, heat treatment, dimensional restoration)
  • Own the full repair lifecycle: development, approval, implementation, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure all engineering documentation complies with OEM, regulatory, and customer standards
  • Work closely with Quality, Production, and cross-functional teams to resolve shop floor technical challenges
  • Interface with OEMs and stakeholders to incorporate requirements and expand repair capabilities
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits (e.g. CAAM, FAA, EASA)
  • Drive cost optimisation, yield improvement, and process efficiency initiatives
  • Lead knowledge transfer and training for production and technical teams
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff to enhance technical capability and leadership pipeline
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety policies



The Successful Applicant

A successful Product Engineering Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Master's Degree or professional certification is an advantage
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in aerospace MRO or OEM environment (component repair focus)
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or technical management role
  • Strong knowledge of OEM manuals (e.g. ESM, SPM) and regulatory frameworks (CAAM, FAA, EASA Part 145)
  • Experience in aerospace component repair and repair substantiation processes
  • Familiarity with major engine OEMs
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy, material behaviour, and aerospace repair technologies
  • Proficiency in engineering tools (e.g. CAD, SolidWorks)
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or repair qualification
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication skills with cross-functional coordination capability
  • Leadership mindset with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and innovation
