The Payment Specialist (Japanese Speaker) will play a key role in managing payment processes and ensuring compliance with financial standards within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This 6-month contract role is based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, and requires proficiency in Japanese to support specific business operations.

Job Description

  • Process and verify supplier invoices and payment transactions accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Support accounts payable operations and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Handle payment-related enquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Reconcile transactions and investigate discrepancies where required.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and operational effi

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payment Specialist (Japanese Speaker) should have:

  • Business proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese (min N2), with the ability to communicate professionally.
  • Knowledge of payment processing and financial operations within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment.
  • Familiarity with accounting and finance processes, including invoice and expense management.
  • Problem-solving skills to address payment discrepancies and inquiries.
