Job Description

  • Provide legal advice and support to business and management teams.
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial, corporate and project-related contracts.
  • Manage regulatory compliance, governance and legal risk matters.
  • Oversee litigation, disputes and external legal counsel.
  • Support corporate exercises, M&A and strategic business initiatives.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the business.
  • Develop and strengthen compliance policies, processes and controls.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on risk management and governance matters.
  • Liaise with regulators and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Lead legal projects and support continuous business growth.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manager, Legal And Compliance should have:

  • Degree in Law and admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
  • Min. 6 to 10 years of legal experience.
  • Experience in contracts, compliance and corporate matters.
  • Exposure to M&A, construction, energy or financing matters.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Able to manage litigation and legal risk matters.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
