About Our Client

An established and growiing manufacturer in semiconductor industry, is looking to expand its team in Kulim.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement operational technology (OT) solutions to support manufacturing processes.
  • Lead and support OT/IT projects from planning through implementation.
  • Drive automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical expertise, user support, and training across OT applications and processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and optimize system performance.
  • Support the full lifecycle of solutions, from implementation to enhancement and retirement.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Specialist (MES) should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development, application support, Operational Technology (OT), manufacturing systems, or related IT disciplines.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience integrating Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with Level 2 and Level 3 manufacturing systems.
  • Hands-on experience in web application development using technologies such as REST APIs, Angular, and/or React.
  • Solid understanding of software quality assurance practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and system validation.
  • Experience with source code management and DevOps tools, particularly Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
