The Inventory Planner (Japanese Speaker) will play a key role in managing inventory and ensuring seamless supply chain operations within the FMCG industry. This position, based in Kuala Lumpur, requires proficiency in Japanese to liaise effectively with stakeholders and support procurement and replenishment activities.

About Our Client

A prominent MNC organisation in the FMCG industry, located in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Description

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimise stockouts or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of goods.
  • Monitor and analyse supply chain data to identify trends and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan procurement activities effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on inventory and supply chain performance.
  • Communicate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Resolve supply chain issues promptly to avoid disruptions in operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all supply chain processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Inventory Planner (Japanese Speaker) should have:

  • Business proficiency in both Japanese (N2 and above) and English for effective communication - speak, read & write
  • A strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes within the FMCG industry.
  • Min 2 years experience in supply planning, inventory planning, replenish panning, demand planning or related field.
  • Good analytical skills to monitor and interpret supply chain data.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in working with inventory management or ERP systems (eg. SAP) is an advantage.
