This role sits within a global trade compliance function and focuses on the management of Free Trade Agreements (FTA), Rules of Origin (ROO), and preferential trade programs across international markets. Working closely with regional stakeholders, business leaders, customs experts, and supply chain teams, you will support origin determination activities.

A globally established multinational organization (Manufacturing Industry) with a complex international trade and supply chain network spanning multiple regions worldwide.

Job Description

  • Conduct Rules of Origin analysis and support preferential origin determination activities across global operations
  • Manage Free Trade Agreement (FTA) documentation, supplier declarations, certificates, and related compliance requirements
  • Support the issuance and management of origin declarations and trade-related certifications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business units, customs teams, and regional operations to ensure compliance with trade regulations
  • Monitor and maintain FTA-related operational data, reports, and performance metrics
  • Support implementation of process, system, and regulatory changes related to trade compliance and customs requirements
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance effectiveness
  • Ensure customs and trade compliance activities align with applicable regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements
  • Support SAP GTS and trade compliance-related system activities where applicable

The Successful Applicant

A successful Global Trade Compliance Specialist should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines
  • 3-5 years of experience in Trade Compliance, Customs Compliance, Rules of Origin, Free Trade Agreements, Foreign Trade, or related functions
  • Hands-on experience in preferential origin determination and FTA processes
  • Strong understanding of customs regulations, Rules of Origin, tariff classification, and trade compliance principles
  • Experience managing supplier declarations, certificates of origin, and trade-related documentation
  • Familiarity with SAP GTS and SAP master data environments would be highly advantageous
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Experience supporting regional or global stakeholders would be preferred
