Following a successful period of growth and organisational development, the business is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its Malaysia operations. The organisation is entering an important phase of evolution, focused on accelerating growth opportunities, driving digital transformation, strengthening commercial performance and expanding adjacent service offerings.

Job Description

  • Lead the overall performance of the Malaysia business, with full accountability for commercial, operational and people outcomes.
  • Develop and execute the country strategy to drive sustainable growth and long-term business performance.
  • Identify and pursue new growth opportunities while strengthening commercial effectiveness and market position.
  • Lead digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business performance, efficiency and organisational effectiveness.
  • Foster collaboration across functions to create a high-performing and integrated business.
  • Build and develop a strong leadership team, driving talent, engagement and organisational capability.
  • Champion customer excellence while maintaining high standards of operational performance.
  • Ensure robust governance, compliance and risk management practices across the business.
  • Partner closely with regional stakeholders to deliver strategic priorities and long-term objectives

The Successful Applicant

  • Significant senior leadership experience managing a country operation, business unit or substantial P&L within a complex services environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering commercial growth, profitability improvement and sustainable business performance.
  • Proven success leading business transformation, digital initiatives and organisational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and scale growth opportunities while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities, with experience building high-performing teams and developing leadership talent.
  • Experience leading across multiple business units or functions within a matrix organisation.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leadership teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Financially literate, data-driven and comfortable making decisions in a dynamic business environment.
