Job Description

  • Lead the implementation of MFRS17 accounting standards across the organisation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with MFRS17 standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on technical accounting matters related to the insurance industry.
  • Analyse and interpret financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting financial reporting.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager - MFRS17 should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS17 and its application in the insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and compliance roles.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and present findings.
