We are seeking a Finance Controller (Japanese Speaker) to support financial reporting, month-end closing, and compliance activities within a dynamic shared services environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across different regions to ensure accurate financial information and adherence to internal controls.
  • Hybrid 2 days in office + 2 days wfh

A business services organisation based in Malaysia, specialising in accounting and finance.

Job Description

  • Support financial reporting and controllership activities with accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing and analysing financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Utilise Japanese language skills to communicate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Provide support in the reconciliation of accounts and financial data.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Analyst, Finance Controller (Japanese Speaker) should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Business proficiency in Japanese, both written and spoken.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
