Job Description

Facilities Engineering Projects & Capital Management

  • Lead facility engineering projects including system expansions, retrofits, upgrades, replacements, and optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and manage long-range facility planning (LRP) strategies.
  • Oversee project execution to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage annual CAPEX investments of approximately USD 2.0M - 2.5M.



Operational Excellence & System Reliability

  • Drive facility reliability through engineering standards, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting activities and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Ensure optimal performance of critical infrastructure systems.
  • Partner closely with operations, maintenance, manufacturing, and ESHS teams to maintain factory stability.



Cost Leadership & Operational Efficiency

  • Develop and implement utility cost reduction strategies.
  • Drive engineering-led cost improvement projects through benchmarking and technical analysis.
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and expenditure controls.
  • Optimize system lifecycle and maintenance costs.



Innovation & Technology Integration

  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders on future facility initiatives.
  • Lead deployment of proven engineering solutions across local operations.
  • Support smart facility and digital transformation initiatives.



People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing engineering team.
  • Develop technical capability through coaching and mentoring.
  • Strengthen succession planning and talent pipelines.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.



The Successful Applicant

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 8-10+ years of facilities engineering experience within large-scale manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or industrial environments.
  • 3-5+ years of formal people management experience.
  • Strong English communication skills with local language capability.



Technical Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of:
    • Mechanical systems
    • Electrical systems
    • Process control systems
    • Gas and chemical distribution systems
    • DIW (Deionized Water) systems
    • IWW (Industrial Wastewater) systems



Leadership & Commercial Skills

  • Experience managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
  • Strong strategic planning and long-range planning capability.
  • Proven experience in change management and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced problem-solving and RCA expertise.
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering teams and developing talent.



Preferred Industry Background

  • Semiconductor manufacturing environments are highly preferred.
  • Candidates from other advanced manufacturing sectors with relevant facilities engineering leadership experience are also encouraged to apply.
