About Our Client

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms supporting business intelligence, analytics, and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across data engineering, cloud data platforms, ETL development, and modern data architectures, with exposure to Microsoft Fabric playing a key role in the organization's data transformation journey.

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest and transform data from multiple sources.
  • Build and optimize data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, and modern cloud technologies.
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes leveraging SQL, Python, PySpark, and cloud-native tools.
  • Implement and maintain enterprise data warehouse, lakehouse, and data mart solutions.
  • Design and maintain data models supporting business intelligence and analytics requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, data scientists, and application teams to understand data requirements.
  • Support end-to-end data lifecycle management, including data governance, quality, security, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to data platform strategy and roadmap development.
  • Implement CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines for data engineering solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data platform performance and reliability.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Engineer should have:

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, OneLake, and Power BI capabilities.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps.
  • Solid understanding of modern data architectures, including Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, Data Warehouse, and Data Vault modeling.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to deliver scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms across Microsoft Azure environments, with a focus on data governance, performance optimization, and business intelligence enablement.
