Data Engineer - Power BI

Analytics & Dashboard Development

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and user-friendly analytical solutions.
• Develop data models, KPIs, metrics, and visualizations to support business decision-making.
• Ensure dashboard performance, usability, and data accuracy across reporting solutions.
• Deliver actionable insights through advanced reporting and sales analytics solutions.

Databricks & Data Engineering

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and data processing workflows within Databricks.
• Work with structured and unstructured data sources to support reporting and analytics requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish robust, scalable, and high-performing data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and best practices within the analytics environment.
• Leverage Databricks capabilities to support dashboarding and analytical use cases.

Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and reporting needs.
• Conduct requirement gathering workshops and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and data-driven decision-making.
• Define and document functional and non-functional requirements for analytics solutions.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a key point of contact between business users, project teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Communicate project progress, risks, issues, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with business teams and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical deliverables.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, workshops, demos, and solution reviews.

Project Delivery & Team Leadership

• Drive end-to-end delivery of dashboarding and analytics projects from requirement gathering through deployment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project execution.
• Support project planning, prioritization, resource coordination, and risk management activities.
• Act as a senior member of the project team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• In the Sales Analytics project, serve as the deputy lead, supporting overall project execution and delivery management.

Data Analysis & Insights

• Perform data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights.
• Support sales performance analysis and business reporting initiatives.
• Develop recommendations and present findings to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Ensure analytical outputs support strategic and operational decision-making.

Technical Collaboration

• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Utilize Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analytical activities.
• Contribute to solution design discussions, technical reviews, and best practices implementation.
• Stay updated on emerging analytics, Power BI, and Databricks capabilities and recommend improvements.
