Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
  • Build and manage data solutions using Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehousing)
  • Develop and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Monitor and improve performance of data systems and pipelines
  • Implement best practices around data governance, documentation, and version control

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Engineer - Fabric should have:

  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • 5-7 years of overall IT/data experience
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with:
    • Python (e.g., Pandas, PySpark preferred)
    • SQL (advanced querying, performance tuning)
    • Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards)
    • Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Familiarity with big data tools and distributed processing frameworks is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
