Job Description

Data Center Technical Architect Director (TD)As the Data Center Technical Architect Director, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary technical teams across regional data center projects, ensuring successful project execution from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical teams across multiple country-based data center projects to achieve successful delivery objectives.
  • Review and validate solution architecture designs prepared by Solutions Architects, ensuring technical feasibility, project alignment, and delivery readiness.
  • Engage with customers to present technical solutions, support business development activities, and negotiate technical project requirements.
  • Conduct customer requirement gathering, technical surveys, and feasibility assessments to develop optimized data center facility solutions.
  • Define project delivery strategies, identify critical activities, and ensure structured execution with effective governance and controls.
  • Assess technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and perform cost analysis related to construction, engineering, and manpower resources.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in accordance with industry standards, including TIA-942, BICSI, IEC 61439, IEEE 493, and BS 7671.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of critical datacenter infrastructure, including:
    • Electrical Systems
    • Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning (MVAC) Systems
    • Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) Systems
    • Fire Detection and Suppression Systems
    • Civil and Structural Works
  • Evaluate, specify, and support the selection of mission-critical equipment, including:
    • Diesel Generators
    • High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) Switchboards
    • Transformers
    • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems
    • Battery Systems
    • Power Distribution Units (PDU)
    • Busway and Power Cabling Solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure technical excellence and project success.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data center integration, infrastructure solutions, or turnkey project environments.
  • Proven experience in consulting, design, engineering, or project management for large-scale data center facilities of at least 1MW capacity.
  • Strong understanding of mission-critical facility design, implementation, and operational requirements.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2019, Revit, Microsoft Project, and other relevant engineering/project management tools.
  • Solid knowledge of international data center standards and best practices.



Preferred Certifications

  • Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) by Uptime Institute.
  • Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) by EXIN EPI.
  • Additional project management or engineering certifications will be an added advantage.
