The Customs Preferential and FTA Executive will be responsible for managing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and preferential trade activities within the procurement and supply chain department in Selangor. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with customs regulations and optimising trade benefits for the industrial/manufacturing sector.

Job Description

  • Manage and maintain compliance with customs regulations and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of documentation for preferential trade certifications.
  • Monitor and evaluate the utilisation of FTAs to maximise cost savings and trade benefits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely data for customs declarations.
  • Provide guidance and advice on trade regulations and preferential schemes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support audits and compliance checks related to customs and trade activities.
  • Keep updated on changes in trade regulations and communicate updates to the team.
  • Assist in resolving any customs-related issues or discrepancies efficiently.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Customs Preferential and FTA Executive should have:

  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and Free Trade Agreements.
  • Experience in procurement and supply chain within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in preparing and managing trade documentation.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Annual salary ranging from MYR 72000 to MYR 88000.
