Due to ongoing business growth, they are seeking a Commodity Manager, Electromechanical to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives for electromechanical commodities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing global commodity strategies, driving supplier performance, optimizing costs, mitigating supply risks, and supporting business growth through effective supplier partnerships. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a resilient supply chain while delivering high-quality components that support advanced semiconductor equipment manufacturing.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute global commodity strategies for electromechanical components, including cables, connectors, wire harnesses, motors, fans, sensors, power supplies, sheet metal, machined parts, and assemblies.
  • Manage supplier selection, qualification, development, and performance to meet quality, cost, delivery, and technology requirements.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, long-term agreements, and commercial terms.
  • Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to support product development and supplier readiness.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity risks, capacity constraints, and supply-demand dynamics to proactively mitigate business risks.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships while establishing alternate sourcing strategies where appropriate.
  • Conduct supplier business reviews and performance assessments to drive continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Support supply continuity planning, escalation management, and resolution of supplier-related issues affecting production.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with procurement objectives and business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management within the semiconductor, electronics, industrial equipment, or high-tech manufacturing industry.
  • Strong experience managing electromechanical commodities and related supplier networks.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations, cost management, supplier development, and strategic sourcing.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and supplier qualification activities.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, cable assembly, and electronic component manufacturing.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across global cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong project management and supplier relationship management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
