Job Description

  • Develop and implement category sourcing strategies.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Manage strategic relationships with regional and global suppliers.
  • Drive cost savings, value creation, and supply continuity.
  • Analyze market trends and procurement risks.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support global procurement and category management initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Category Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong track record in supplier negotiations, contract management, and delivering cost-saving initiatives.
  • Experience managing regional or international suppliers and sourcing activities across global markets.
  • Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Able to analyze market trends, manage supply risks, and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Experience within industrial gases, chemicals, energy, or related process industries will be highly advantageous.
  • Degree qualified with excellent communication and relationship management capabilities.
