As a Buyer in Kulim, you will manage purchasing activities for a Manufacturing organisation, helping to maintain a reliable supply of goods and services. You will use your procurement and purchasing experience to support day-to-day Procurement & Supply Chain operations and clear supplier engagement.

The organisation operates in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector in Kulim, Kedah.

Job Description

  • Manage purchasing activities to secure goods and services needed for business operations.
  • Review purchasing needs and prepare orders that meet agreed requirements.
  • Work with suppliers to obtain product, pricing and delivery information for purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor order progress and follow up on delivery status to maintain supply continuity.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records to support clear procurement tracking.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders on purchasing requirements and order updates.
  • Resolve order-related issues with suppliers to support timely fulfilment.
  • Contribute to efficient Procurement & Supply Chain processes through organised purchasing activity.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Buyer should have:

  • Procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Ability to manage purchasing requirements from request through to order follow-up.
  • Experience communicating with suppliers on orders, pricing and delivery details.
  • Ability to review purchasing information and maintain accurate records.
  • Practical understanding of order tracking and delivery follow-up.
  • Ability to coordinate purchasing updates with internal stakeholders.
