Job Description

  • Design, develop, and enhance moderately complex automation equipment, tooling, and applications to improve manufacturing efficiency and process automation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including equipment manuals, engineering drawings, models, training materials, preventive maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Analyze machine operating standards, identify wear-and-tear components, and understand product quality issues and defect trends.
  • Maximize machine uptime through effective preventive maintenance programs and timely resolution of equipment breakdowns.
  • Continuously expand technical expertise across a wide range of automation technologies and equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (Why-Why analysis) and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize equipment design, manufacturing processes, and operational performance.
  • Lead daily automation and maintenance activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production targets.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of maintenance and automation initiatives.
  • Contribute to the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of automation frameworks and processes for new product introductions.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive automation enhancements to increase process effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements and proactively propose innovative automation solutions that deliver maximum value and performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Automation Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Automation Engineering within the high-tech electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Strong expertise in mechatronics design, including the implementation and integration of Robots, Cobots, and other automated systems.
  • Experience in automated control systems, including PLC programming, machine control, and industrial automation solutions.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing vision inspection systems incorporating automated camera recognition technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical and electronic circuit design for automation equipment and machinery.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve automated manufacturing systems to enhance productivity, quality, and reliability
