Job Description

  • Design, develop, and optimise wave soldering processes for both existing and new products.
  • Establish and maintain process control plans to ensure product quality and manufacturing consistency.
  • Conduct process qualification and validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot soldering defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and manage spare parts for wave soldering equipment.
  • Support PCB inspection activities and ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to technicians.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and drive manufacturability improvements.
  • Analyse process data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, productivity, uptime, and cost efficiency.



The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Practical experience in wave soldering processes, PCB manufacturing, and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of soldering principles, materials, defects, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Continuous improvement experience using methodologies such as 5 Why, PDCA, Pareto, and root cause analysis.
  • Good proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
