Job Description

  • Lead overall operations of utilities and general facilities across the site to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
  • Ensure continuous and reliable supply of steam, compressed air, water, nitrogen, and power to support production.
  • Manage boiler house operations and site-wide utilities distribution systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and efficiency.
  • Monitor utility consumption, drive cost control, and identify sustainability and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, health, environmental regulations, and local authority requirements, permits, and inspections.
  • Coordinate closely with production and engineering teams to align utility operations with manufacturing needs.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and OEMs for maintenance activities, projects, and equipment procurement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop technicians and operators to achieve operational and performance targets.
  • Track KPIs, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement across utility operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 8-10 years of proven experience managing utilities or industrial facilities within a chemical, oleochemical or palm oil refinery,
  • Non‑negotiable: Steam Engineer Grade 1 certification with a strong background in boiler house and steam system operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, health, environmental regulations, and statutory compliance for utilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience leading, mentoring, and developing technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a clear focus on operational efficiency, reliability, and cost management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written), with the ability to follow structured processes and instructions.
