Job Description

People & Technical Leadership

  • Manage and guide a team of embedded hardware and software engineers to meet project objectives
  • Build a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and structured talent development
  • Oversee adherence to product development lifecycle processes and regulatory standards
  • Lead complex engineering decisions, including architecture and design trade-offs
  • Plan and address workforce needs to support business objectives



Engineering Operations

  • Contribute to technical proposals, project planning, and cost estimation for new opportunities
  • Drive hiring initiatives and expand team capabilities
  • Establish partnerships with external vendors and technology collaborators
  • Take ownership of project execution, including scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and budgets
  • Define and execute organisational OKRs, ensuring accountability to performance targets



Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies
  • Support development of technology roadmaps and best engineering practices
  • Promote innovation and problem-solving within tight timelines
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement



The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Manager - Hardware & Software should have:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in multidisciplinary product development, including leadership roles
  • Strong background in embedded systems (hardware and/or software), system architecture, and validation
  • Knowledge of product development lifecycle and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Proven leadership skills in coaching, mentoring, and team development
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, corrective actions)
  • Familiarity with Lean and quality-driven engineering practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
  • Good teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required
