Job Description

Product Design & Development

  • Lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of electronic hardware solutions that meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to develop innovative products for highly regulated industries.
  • Drive electrical and electronic product development activities from concept through validation and manufacturing transfer.
  • Apply electrical engineering development processes and workflows at PCB assembly, product, and system levels.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Support customer engagements by preparing technical proposals, solution recommendations, effort estimations, and material cost assessments.
  • Act as a recognised technical expert in designated engineering disciplines.



Continuous Learning & Innovation

  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, standards, and regulations.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of engineering methodologies, design standards, quality systems, and organisational capabilities.
  • Drive innovation and apply creative problem-solving techniques to address complex technical challenges.



Design for Manufacturing & Quality

  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure products are scalable, manufacturable, and production-ready.
  • Evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing processes to achieve technical performance and cost objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with product development processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a right-first-time engineering and continuous improvement mindset.



Technical & Project Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Lead complex multidisciplinary engineering projects from planning through execution.
  • Manage technical, financial, schedule, and resource considerations throughout project delivery.
  • Develop project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and change management processes.
  • Engage effectively with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Apply Lean, Quality, DOE, DFMEA/PFMEA, corrective action, and continuous improvement methodologies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electronic product design and development within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
  • Candidates with a PhD and fewer years of industry experience may also be considered.
  • Proven experience delivering multiple end-to-end product development cycles.
  • Strong expertise in digital circuit and system design.
  • Experience with MPU, MCU, FPGA, GPU, and digital controller development.
  • Knowledge of memory and storage interfaces.
  • Familiarity with high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DDR, LVDS, SerDes, and similar technologies.
  • Experience in Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) simulation and validation.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as OrCAD, Cadence Concept/Allegro, or Altium Designer.
  • Good understanding of EMC, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of HDL programming including VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog is advantageous.
  • Strong technical leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage technical risks, project budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience with coaching, mentoring, customer engagement, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Quality systems, DFMEA/PFMEA, Design of Experiments (DOE), and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in global and multicultural teams.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
