Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, implement and maintain web, backend and mobile applications.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Develop user-friendly interfaces and integrate applications with databases, systems and other technology platforms.
  • Perform application testing and quality assurance before solutions progress to UAT and production.
  • Support application deployments, system upgrades, database migrations and operating system upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes and resolve defects, including business-critical production incidents.
  • Optimize application and database performance in collaboration with database administrators.
  • Work with solution architects, infrastructure and security teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify and address application security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve functionality, usability and performance.
  • Develop automated unit, integration and system tests to improve application quality.
  • Explore new technologies, UI components and development approaches that can enhance existing solutions.
  • Contribute to data analytics, dashboard and business intelligence solutions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Developer, Applications (MES) should have:

  • 5-6 years or more of hands-on software/application development experience.
  • Strong development experience using C# and modern web technologies.
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular and/or React.
  • Experience with Bootstrap or similar frontend frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, development and performance optimization.
  • Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, UAT, deployment and production support.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to support critical production applications.
  • Experience developing data analytics, dashboards or business intelligence solutions would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge or hands-on exposure to Machine Learning and AI-driven application development is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to Computer Vision or image recognition technologies, particularly within industrial or manufacturing applications, would be an added advantage.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment is preferred.
