The Quality Manager Team Lead (Product Quality) is responsible for leading a team of Product Quality Engineers and ensuring excellent product quality performance across assigned product families. The role focuses on NPI quality readiness, defect prevention, root cause analysis, customer quality support, and the development of a highly capable quality engineering team.

Job Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Quality Engineers.
  • Drive quality excellence across NPI, mass production, and field performance.
  • Ensure successful quality planning and readiness before product release.
  • Own key quality metrics, including customer complaints, defect reduction, and quality cost performance.
  • Monitor and improve quality performance across assigned product families.
  • Develop technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities within the quality team.
  • Lead advanced root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure effective use of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, Product Validation, and Process Validation.
  • Support customer quality escalations and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen quality processes.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and manufacturing standards.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in Product Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and quality planning methodologies.
  • Experience with FMEA, Control Plans, Product Validation, Process Validation, and structured problem-solving approaches.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience supporting NPI programmes and customer quality requirements.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and build high-performing teams.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is required, as the role regularly liaises with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
