Job Description

  • Lead product safety and regulatory compliance initiatives across APAC markets, ensuring alignment with global standards
  • Ensure compliance with GHS classification, labelling, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements
  • Monitor, interpret, and translate complex chemical regulations into actionable business strategies
  • Support REACH and other global regulatory submissions while ensuring regional applicability
  • Manage product safety data within SAP systems and drive system enhancements with regional and global teams
  • Identify emerging regulatory risks and advise stakeholders on mitigation and compliance strategies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, regulatory, and business leadership teams
  • Drive process improvements, scalability, and consistent implementation of product safety frameworks across APAC
  • Lead regional regulatory projects, including fit-gap assessments, change management, and compliance initiatives
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship while preparing reports, documentation, and stakeholder presentations

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5-8 years' experience in Product Safety, Regulatory Affairs, or Chemical Compliance
  • Familiarity with GHS, SDS, REACH, and other regional/international chemical regulations
  • Experience with SAP (preferably in a product safety or chemical environment)
  • Strong knowledge of product safety regulations, compliance, and risk management practices
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and recommend improvements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work with cross-functional teams and regulatory authorities
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-growing, dynamic setting
