Job Description

  • Own and drive the product vision, roadmap and backlog for mobile application initiatives.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria for development teams.
  • Work closely with mobile developers, architects, UX/UI designers, QA teams and other technology stakeholders throughout the application development lifecycle.
  • Serve as the key bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring business needs are translated effectively into feasible technical solutions.
  • Apply a strong understanding of mobile application development best practices when defining requirements and making product decisions.
  • Prioritise product features and enhancements based on business value, user experience, technical feasibility and delivery dependencies.
  • Manage product backlogs and participate actively in Agile activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to manage expectations, priorities, timelines and dependencies across multiple initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of new application features, releases and ongoing product enhancements.
  • Collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional teams operating across different time zones.
  • Be available for occasional extended working hours to accommodate collaboration with Germany-based teams and stakeholders.
  • Travel internationally or domestically for business when required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally across Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis and/or technology product delivery.
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related field of study
  • Agile Product Owner-related certification (e.g. PSPO, CSPO, or equivalent) is preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering mobile applications, with the ability to demonstrate specific apps, products or mobile initiatives previously worked on.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end mobile application development lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, testing, release and enhancement.
  • Experience working on large-scale or consumer-facing mobile applications.
  • Exposure to iOS and/or Android application development environments.
  • Understanding of APIs, integrations and backend systems supporting mobile applications.
  • Experience collaborating with UX/UI teams on mobile application design and customer journeys.
  • Experience working with globally distributed development and engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software development environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working across both business and technology teams.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Comfortable working within a global, cross-cultural and distributed team environment.
  • Willing to travel for business when required.
  • Flexible to accommodate occasional meetings or extended working hours aligned with the Germany time zone.
