Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide overnight technical support and assist in resolving production-related support tickets
  • Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot overnight batch processing jobs
  • Prepare and verify start-of-day (SOD) files to ensure operational and trading readiness
  • Monitor system performance and identify abnormalities across processing pipelines
  • Escalate unresolved issues promptly to onshore engineering teams with clear documentation
  • Document findings, resolutions, and handover notes to support operational continuity
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to maintain high system availability and reliability



The Successful Applicant

A successful Product Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • At least 1 year of experience within software engineering, application support, backend development, or related IT environments
  • Experience working with MySQL or other relational database technologies
  • Basic understanding of Java, Python or Spring Framework
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Exposure to container technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Understanding of messaging systems such as Kafka is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production support environment
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage for collaboration with bilingual stakeholders
  • Exposure to financial services, trading platforms, monitoring tools, or CI/CD workflows would be beneficial
